If you wish to transfer a domain name from one domain registrar to another, you will need a unique domain name authorization code, which may be called by many names – an EPP authorization code, an Auth-Info code, a domain name password, etc. All these names denote one and the same thing – a code that the domain name owner receives from the present registrar and provides to the new one upon ordering. Without a genuine code, a domain name transfer procedure cannot be initiated and this is one of the safety mechanisms against unwanted transfers used with all generic and with most country-specific extensions. For better safety, the code contains digits and/or special symbols and is case-sensitive, so if you would like to transfer one of your domain names, you need to present the new company with the correct code.

EPP Transfer Protection in Shared Web Hosting

You can get the EPP transfer authentication code for any domain that you have registered through us with only a few clicks from the very same Hepsia Control Panel that you’ll use to manage your shared web hosting account. Once you go to the Registered Domains section, you will see all your domain names conveniently shown in alphabetical order. If some TLD extension supports transfers between domain registrars with an EPP transfer code, you’ll notice an EPP button on the right side of the given domain. If you click on that button, the code will be sent to the email address associated with the Registrant contact for the given domain. If you wish, you can update the contact information, including the email, without even leaving this Control Panel section, in case the currently entered email address is not valid anymore.
